Talk by Arvind Kejriwal, Magsasay Award Recipient (SF Bay Area, Oct 15)

IIT Foundation Bay Area is pleased to invite you to an evening with Arvind Kejriwal (1989 NH), recipent of the prestigious Ramon Magsasasay award for 2006, for “Emergent Leadership”.

Arvind Kejriwal (known to his KGP friends as “Kejri”), was one of two prominent South Asians who was awarded this year is prestigious Ramon Magsaysay award for his contribution to the landmark “Right To Information Act” in India and for “activating the right to information movement at the grassroots”. The nationwide law is aimed at increasing transparency in public life and helping curb corruption.

In March 2006, IIT Kanpur honored Arvind by presenting him with the Satyendra K. Dubey Memorial Award for displaying highest professional integrity for upholding human values

Arvind is the founder of the Indian NGO Parivartan that is fighting corruption in India . (http://www.parivartan.com).
